The benefits of this product cannot be overstated. Amazingly, just days after setting it up and placing it on my desk where it can be seen, I received two more 5-star reviews on my Google Business listing. Subtracting the five fake negative reviews from back in late April-early May, that makes for a total of (138) 5-star reviews, and (1) four star, and my score jumped back up to 4.9. Suffice it to say, I was ecstatic. What's great about this item is that by having it readily available, you can refer your customers to it before they leave your establishment, and all they have to do is point their cell phone about an inch in front of it. It's a non-powered device, which is great because you can place it anywhere, and it utilizes the common cell phone NFC feature (Near Field Communications.) Once your customer points their phone at the device, it will automatically open up their default web browser to your Google Business listing, bringing them right to the page where all they have to do is select the number of stars they want to give you and voice-in a quick review. This makes it extremely easy and convenient, and I stress once again that just having this device available is where the benefit comes in, because without it, after the customer walks out the door, you would have to rely upon them to remember to give you a review, and unless they're true to their word or intend to make it a point to give you a great review because they feel you deserve it, your chances of receiving that review diminish greatly.Noting the spelling of the following word, the device uses an app called "Eylet," for setting up the device, which programs the chip inside the Google rating card. Watch out for that spelling difference, because initially, I didn't notice that they chose to remove the letter "e" after the "y," from the actual spelling of the word, "Eyelet," the actual correct spelling of the word is what I kept typing in online, and no page was coming up. So remember that it's actually "eylet.com."Once you install the app, just follow the prompts, enter your business info, logo, etc., then once you're ready, place your cell phone in front of the card (Android users lean the top end of your phone close to the front of the card, Apple phones the center); and once you receive the confirmation, it's done. Now it should work with any customer's cell phone that has NFC, but remember to test it first, preferably from another cell phone which is NOT already logged into your Google account because it won't direct your default browser to go right to your review page, which is where your customer's cell phone web browser needs to be directed to. (And hey...you can even use that as an excuse to show the card to your customer, and tell them you would like them to test it out for you to see if it works...which will probably land you another 5-star review! (I'm just filled with ideas like that, and you can thank me later.)If you've been in business for some time and you have a Google Business listing, then you should have no problems with setup since the app uses Google Maps to locate your business so that it can then locate and program in the correct review link. But, if you have a new business, or for whatever reason your business is not listed on Google Maps, then you need to create a free Google account and add your business to Google Maps before attempting to set up this device, also noting that, and if I recall correctly, you can program the device to direct the customer to any weblink, and it may not "have" to be Google, but don't quote me on that.Also note that for right now, during my testing I discovered that the device doesn't work with Firefox and comes up with "Page Not Found" errors, so I tested it by selecting Microsoft Edge instead, and it worked perfectly. I therefore reported the issue to their customer service by email late that Friday evening, which I'm also giving 5-stars since they had no idea I was an Amazon Vine reviewer yet got right back to me the very next morning at 9:24am, and on a Saturday, no less, which was excellent timing and shows they care about ensuring their customers are satisfied with this product. (Thanks for the quick response Julie!) Apparently I guess they were unaware of the issue, so she sent it to the appropriate department and assured me they'd investigate and rectify the problem.The app also has help videos programmed into it should you need them, and amazingly, when setting up your business for the first time, it even instructs you on the fly, telling you exactly what to do, which I've never see before, so definitely an A+ on ingenuity, noting that if you don't keep up with what it tells you to do though, then it just keeps going. It also tends to repeat itself a lot if setup doesn't go well for you, so in some cases, it can actually be a bit annoying, so just do your best and follow what it says, and don't fall behind.In closing, I still feel it's a great product, and I wish I had it fo...
